Detailed Discussion on Domains and Hosting Part One.

What is the domain :

Suppose I created the website. Visitors need to know an address for visiting this website now. And this address is the domain name. Domain names will identify my website separately from other websites. So the domain name is unique, which is not the second in the world.

What is hosting :

Let me create a website with a few HTML pages. Now they have to keep them online when visitors can see them whenever they want. Naturally, I do not know when they will come to my site. So I have to keep those above pages on a computer (or server) that will be online for 24 hours. 24-hour continuous power connection, high-speed internet line (at least 100 MBps, 24x30km in Bangladesh will not be used for any purpose), security etc. will be required to keep it online. Normally the question is, would it cost so much to run a website, so much trouble? The answer will be “no”. There are some people who will do the above things themselves. They will keep your files online with care. And those who will keep these files hosted by them. And the service they offer is the hosting service.
Types of Hosting :
1. Shared Hosting
2. VPS
3. Dedicated server
1. Shared Hosting:
Hosting companies usually offer to host, so shared hosting. I can not use any software as I like myself. I have to use the hosting software which lets me use the software. An example of what shared hosting is like would be clear.
Example of a Simple Package:
Web Space: 200MB
Bandwidth: 1000MB
E-mail Accounts: 10
MySQL Database s: 10
FTP Accounts: 5
Addon Domains: 5
Sub-Domains: 5
2.VPS :
By seeing the amount of expenditure, it is understandable that dedicated servers are not for everyone. Shared hosting is such that the lowest level is the most prominent of the dedicated servers. The middle of this is VPS. VPS = Virtual Private Server Virtual container or slice is created by dividing a physical server through a virtual server through virtualization software. Each slice/node acts as an independent dedicated server. All these slices/nodes can be done for all types of work, the system will not understand the actual physical hardware or the virtual machine. In this way, companies rent 15 to 20 VPSs on a machine by adding high-speed processors and shipwreck memory and discs. Those who have used virtual boxes on their PCs can easily understand VPS’s case. Suppose, the original PC is your dedicated server. Different operating systems installed through the virtual box are VPS.
A VPS Context: Dedicated CPU Power 2.00 Disk Storage, 20 GB Data Transfer 2000, Dedicated Memory 512 MB, Dedicated IP Addresses 2
A VPS monthly rental ranges from $ 5 to $ 100. Sometimes VPS rental is available in 1 dollar. How Logistics is Shared: All hardware in dedicated servers cannot be shared equally, so it is proportionately divided. For example, the memory server (RAM) has 4 Giga I got 2 Giga. The remaining two took two gigas one by one. Since I bought more than memory, I could use the CPU (processor) for a long time. This share of the hardware was made in two techniques.
3.Dedicated server:
When not working with shared hosting, when the site is dynamic rather than static, the database is used, if the visitor of the site is several thousand, it is necessary to own a server. Which nobody else will share. All resources are customized. Its own PCs are Processor Core to Dual, 4Gig memory, 1 Terra Hard Disk, a dedicated server’s config. With the Net Connection of Superfast Speed.
See the liberalization:
Processor —– Xeon Dual E3110 Hard Disk (SATA) – 500 GB RAM ——- 4 GB Bandwidth —- 10 TB IP Addresses —- 5 Uplink Connectivity – 100 Mbit
Depending on your preferred hardware, network speed, bandwidth, a dedicated server may cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. After that again operating system and another software install, there is also a matter of regularly managing them. Based on the management, there are two types of dedicated servers.
1. Managed Hosting
2. Unmanaged hosting
